Market for the Strange was created to make space for the growing alternative art scene around Salem, Oregon. A place where the unusual is welcome, where the odd ones fit in, and where visitors can walk away with a little bit of the unexpected.

A community Market for the strange side of Oregon

We host a monthly pop-up art market in western Oregon. We alternate event locations between Salem and surrounding cities.

Lane Events Center, EugeneFrom Sasquatch to Colossal Claude, the PNW is known to be home to many legendary creatures. Join us in September for Legends of Lore, a celebration of the mysterious, secret, and mythical world around us. We'll have over 50 strange and unusual artists and vendors from around Oregon presenting their own legendary creations.

Applications for this event are closed.
Children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult.

Salem Convention CenterA celebration of those films which made us afraid to go to sleep, answer the phone, go to camp, baby sit, and which taught us the rules to any good scary movie. With over 70 weird and creepy vendors, food trucks, tattoo artists, and whoever else we can dig up to lurk around the corners.

Gothic leathers? Witchy outfits? Characterful costumes? Whatever your vibe is, we're happy to help you celebrate it. Many of our visitors show up to show off their strange fashions, so don't hesitate to pull that special getup out of your closet and show us what you've got!
