Market for the Strange was created to make space for the growing alternative art scene around Salem, Oregon. A place where the unusual is welcome, where the odd ones fit in, and where visitors can walk away with a little bit of the unexpected.

A community Market for the strange side of Oregon

We host a monthly pop-up art market in western Oregon. We alternate event locations between Salem and surrounding cities.

Salem Convention CenterA celebration of those films which made us afraid to go to sleep, answer the phone, go to camp, baby sit, and which taught us the rules to any good scary movie. With over 70 weird and creepy vendors, food trucks, tattoo artists, and whoever else we can dig up to lurk around the corners.

Linn County Expo Center, AlbanyThe best way to beat the cold weather and short days is a table full of dice, cards, and miniatures, surrounded by a few close friends. Gamesgiving Expo is our celebration of the joy of gaming, highlighting local game designers, indie game makers, and the geeky culture surrounding our favorite hobby. Join us to learn about strange new games, play a round on our Free Play tables, and meet fellow enthusiasts, as well as our usual market full of strange artists!

Gothic leathers? Witchy outfits? Characterful costumes? Whatever your vibe is, we're happy to help you celebrate it. Many of our visitors show up to show off their strange fashions, so don't hesitate to pull that special getup out of your closet and show us what you've got!
